Odysseas Elytis, born in 1911 in Heraklion, Crete, was one of the most important Greek poets. He once said: “If you disintegrate Greece, in the end you will see that you are left with an olive tree, a vineyard and a boat. Which means: with so much more you can rebuild it. “

In “Kritiki Gonia”, not only do we continue the work of our grandfather, but we are inspired by our great poet, and we make sure that in our store there are only exceptional Cretan products, made by small producers, with emphasis on quality and not quantity. So our olive gives us its fruits, its excellent “golden yellow” oil and all its derivatives. We “planted” many vines, ancient Cretan varieties that give us extremely aromatic wines, tsikoudia and everything else we can produce from grape juices. The boat, of course, is the one that will “bring” Crete to your home, your order will arrive safely and confidently.

In “Kritiki Gonia”, we started our operation in 2003, in collaboration with a few small producers, some of them belong to our family and friendly environment. On our website you will find fine traditional products, award-winning Cretan wines, raki, but liqueurs based on Cretan tsikoudia.
